Somewhat inaccurately derived from 'shapeless form', the Amorphozoas are a varied species found in the Chthon with a remarkable ability to blend into the environment. They use this ability primarily to ambush prey, but also to hide while digesting a meal. With the profusion of subterranean civilizations, the amorphozoas have developed a good ability to even copy manufactured items, like chests, tables, benches, and a variety of walls and floors. Some enterprising denizens of the deep world will even place an amorphozoa in their treasure chambers, as a deterrent for would-be thieves. While their disguises are not always perfect, in the gloom of the Chthonic world, in many cases the ruse is noticed too late.
