This powerful weapon uses electromagnetism to accelerate projectiles to velocities greater than Mach 1, imparting enough kinetic energy to the projectile for an explosive impact. The KARMA-870 comes in both railgun and coilgun configurations, the former uses a pair of parallel conducting rails while the latter relies on electromagnetic coil inductance.
