The Souk is an open-air marketplace with stalls with colored canopies in Medina. In the labyrinth of the old city you can find the souk with its litanies of artisans and sellers. Here, the city reverberates with the sounds of donkeys braying, the clear ringing of the water carrier's bells, the cries traveling merchants and the sounds of customers and vendors haggling over prices in the open air market. While in the distance the Muezzin begins to call the faithful to prayer from atop the minaret.
